The armed wing of the Faith of the Seven, raised in two orders of very different character. The Warrior’s Sons were knights of birth and means who set aside lands and titles to serve the Seven; the Poor Fellows were the other end of the same impulse — unarmoured, unlettered, and numerous, carrying axes and painted stars rather than steel.

Both took up arms against House Targaryen in The Faith Militant Uprising, and both were broken by Maegor the Cruel, who put a bounty on their heads and rode Balerion against them. Jaehaerys I ended the matter by treaty rather than fire: the orders disarmed, and the Crown guaranteed the Faith its freedom of worship.
