A trial by combat in the Andal fashion, fought seven against seven so that each of the seven faces of god might witness and judge. It is rare, and reserved for matters the ordinary forms cannot settle.

The most consequential was fought in 42 AC, when Maegor the Cruel answered a challenge from the Warrior’s Sons of The Faith Militant. Maegor was the only man of his seven left standing, and he did not stand long — he fell into a stupor that held him for weeks, and the question of who ruled while he lay in it was never comfortably answered.
